Kelly Nitchie

Kelly Nitchie, BHK, CEP, CSCS, RK, BCRPA-TFL
Owner and Personal Trainer

Both owner and primary trainer, Kelly is a graduate from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Human Kinetics majoring in Health and Fitness (BHK). Kelly's extensive sports background includes playing Jr. A hockey in the Alberta Junior Hockey League as a power forward, as well as a variety of other sports including volleyball, swimming, running, cycling (Triathlons), squash, tennis, and rock climbing.

Kelly has experience training athletes including triathletes, professional dancers, soccer players, semi -professional hockey players, squash players, as well as clients for general health and fitness and weight loss.

Kelly is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NCSA). He is certified and insured through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP) as a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). Kelly is certified through Grey Cook's Functional Movement Screening (FMS) as a Functional Movement Specialist (FMS. He is also in the process of becoming certified and insured through the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologist's (BCAK), as a Practicing Kinesiologist (PK) which will allow Kelly to rehabilitate clients from both WCB and ICBC claims back to full strength.

Along with running Pure Element Health & Training, Kelly works part-time as a fitness instructor with VIP Fitness in Vancouver. The curriculum follows the BCRPA material, preparing future personal trainers for success in the fitness field.
